7 ♣ [TEXT/ACTION FOR GOLDENROD CITY]
[TEXT]
[Sometime during the day, a short text pops up on the network.]
Tell me about something you miss from home. Something you can't get here.
[Someone isn't having a good day.]
[ACTION]
[Things have been fairly rough for Celes, lately, but she's finally managed to get herself out of the house. It's more for necessity rather than out of desire, however; a horrible discovery early this morning showed her that it was simply impossible for her to remain idle...especially in the face of such a frustrating threat. What was this clearly catastrophe occurrence?
She discovered she's running dangerously low on eyeliner.
So that's why, if you happen to be in the make-up section of the Goldenrod Department store, you'll spot her and her Gothitelle, Victoria, standing in front of a display featuring one of the fancier brands. Celes' face isn't showing much emotion, as usual, but her movements are jerky and her posture is tight. She's frustrated; the day isn't getting any better. She's gone through three testers and none of them are quite right; the fourth one isn't showing promise, either.]
I simply cannot believe they ran out of my favourite brand...none of these ones are quite the same.
[Narrowing her eyes at the thin black line she's drawn on her hand, Celes rubs at it with her finger, pursing her lips as it smudges into her skin.]
Honestly...is this what passes for quality in this place? Pathetic...that saleswoman should be fired.
[Turning around, she lightly tosses the tester back towards the display; it lands neatly back into place with a soft clacking sound, guided into position by her Gothitelle. Looking around the make-up area, Celes rolls her eyes.]
Am I really expected to travel all the way to Celadon City to find it? What nonsense.
[...although...she has heard excellent things about the fashion and shopping in Celadon. Would it be able to compare to Tokyo, though? Hmm...
...well. It's not like she's going to go today, anyway. The thought is...tempting, however; it would likely do her good to get away from this city for a little while.
Food for thought, anyway.
...]
Come, Victoria. Perhaps I'll buy a new perfume.
[OOC: Celes will be wandering throughout the Department Store all day, so you can run into her wherever you like - it doesn't just have to be the make-up section!]

...her list of favourite people is very short, so it's...very lucky indeed, um.]
I'd recommend the one to the right. I think it would suit you more.
[She's spent a bit of time in the fragrance section...enough to gain basic familiarity with most of the permanent products, anyway.]
Fancy meeting you here, Mr Spears.
no subject
Ah, Miss Celestia.
[ He will give a polite bow. ]
Shopping as well?
no subject
...
...don't look at her like that, Victoria.]
Yes, I am; just picking up a few essentials. I find that the products here are similar to those at home, but not quite what I'm used to. Still, one must adapt.
[Clearly the most stressful part of being here is the lack of quality make-up, rather than the creatures running around.]
How about yourself?
no subject
[ Or the lack of good tea. Honestly. ]
How have you been feeling? Since our lunch date, that is.
no subject
[...alright, let's not turn this conversation in an angsty direction, there's been more than enough of that-]
Are you and your subordinate heading down to Violet to get the badge, then? I can give you some tips on Falkner, if you like. I've obtained all of the badges here in Johto, so.
no subject
[ He'll return that cologne to the shelf for now so he can give her is full attention. ]
Have you?
[ Wow, he's impressed. Hard working is a plus with him. ]
I need to get to work, then. I've certainly spent enough time relaxing here. But yes, any tips would be greatly appreciated.
no subject
[And surprisingly enough (or, well, to anyone who knows her from home, it would be...), that statement is completely honest.]
Falkner trains Flying-type Pokemon, so your best bet for an easy victory is using an Electric or Rock-type against him. However, their levels are fairly low, so if you've got powerful Pokemon you'll likely defeat him with ease, regardless of what you use.
Will you also be challenging Bugsy?
no subject
[ Only William would look at this as his new job. ]
I have one electric-type, at the moment. The rest are unfortunately flying-types, as well.
[ He frowns suddenly, remembering there is one more he has. ]
Ah, and a ghost-type. ...That will be of no benefit, will it?
no subject
[...actually, that comment reminded her of something that she hadn't had the chance to ask-]
I'm not surprised to hear that Flying is the type you favour; didn't your 'profile' say you keep birds?
no subject
Ah, yes.
[ He gives a short sigh. ]
My subordinate, Ronald Knox seems to think I am in love with pigeons.
no subject
[Not the most elegant of birds...although, perhaps rather appropriate for a Londoner, at least...
Allow her to look politely perplexed.]
What has led him to this bizarre conclusion?
no subject
[ He shakes his head, adjusting his frames. ]
The kid is well meaning but certainly has some growing up to do.
