5 ♣ [VIDEO/ACTION FOR GOLDENROD CITY]
VIDEO
[Celes is sitting on a couch, when the video opens, her Eevee sitting on her knee and flicking her ears around. Those of you who are familiar with it might recognize it as the Dangan House - apparently someone made the questionable life decision of letting Celes inside, or she just...found a way in.
...lovely.]
I have a question for those of you who have raised one of these creatures.
[The 'creature' in question is her Eevee, who doesn't seem to have any problem with being called a 'creature'. Hey, she's heard worse from her trainer.]
I feel it is high time she evolved, and I have been looking at all my options...what I would most like, however, is the chance to hear some first-hand accounts from those of you who have raised any of the evolutions.
Such a thing would be most appreciated.
[Linking her fingers in her trademark pose, Celes tilts her head and smiles prettily at the camera.]
Thank you for listening.
ACTION
[Having spent a fair bit of time away from Goldenrod, Celes is dedicating the day to perusing all of the shops and boutiques the city has to offer, her Ninetales following dutifully after her. Being on the road is such a tiresome thing, after all, and it's nice to just...indulge, in what she's used to. She's still not sure if those stupid badges are worth the trouble it takes to get them, but...at least the, ah...monetary compensation is rather nice.
She's in an exceptionally good mood, so if you happen to spot her wandering, feel free to have a chat with her (even you, Hagakure!
...alright, maybe not you, Hagakure.)]

action;
It's sunny out, and he's tired of being cooped up. Besides, he's interested in seeing what this little thing can do.
And it seems he's just discovered that the little darling was born knowing Pay Day, because she is doing her absolute damnedest to fling coins onto the sidewalk as frequently as possible — having learned quickly that doing so earned her a big smile and a lot of proud cuddles from her master when she did.
Most all of his roster, he'll rule by fear, and that's fine. It can't hurt to have one sweet thing to pull out when the bleeding hearts are around, after all.]

...that's what her Ninetales is for.
Regardless, it will certainly get her attention well enough; she owns a Persian, and she's familiar with the line and all their...quirks. Besides, the trainer is young and good-looking.
...very good-looking. Hmm...maybe she deserves to have some fun. So she'll turn and face him, when another load of coins land at her feet, smiling prettily and tilting her head.]
Your Meowth is quite the generous sort.
[...get those fucking coins, Beatrice, she has a castle to buy.]
no subject
Girls like cute animals, right? Couldn't hurt.]
Ah, I'm sorry she made such a mess; it's her favorite trick. Let me clean that up before you go on your way, I'd hate to see you slip and fall on one of her coins by mistake.
no subject
[Well, she's not going to stop you, Schuldig, although she'll certainly watch approvingly if you do intend to get those coins out of her way.
She does so enjoy seeing a little servitude, after all. Particularly from handsome men.]
Meowths can be such mischievous creatures.
no subject
That's what I've heard. I guess that means I'm in for it; she just hatched the other day, so now I'm stuck with her antics from here on out.
no subject
[She'll keep smiling, after that little comment, but it's probably...rather obvious how it doesn't make it to her eyes.]
I trust you're prepared for that.
no subject
[He half-lifts the little cat, his hands underneath her front legs so he can make her wave; to his credit, she seems delighted by this.]
What do you think, Sturmkatzchen? Oh, I better be careful what I say around your little ears; you might misbehave more often, just to see more of this pretty lady.
no subject
My, that's a language I haven't heard for a while...do you speak German?
[The question is polite; pleasantly curious.]
I might be more inclined to relenquish my number if you do.
no subject
[He cocks his head slightly, regarding her a little more thoughtfully.]
You're a very pretty girl — ah, wait, that didn't come out, did it?
[He laughs amicably.]
Sorry, this place makes it hard to stay in practice, doesn't it.
no subject
[There's something niggling at the back of her mind; a conversation she had, a couple of months ago, over text, with a fascinating man who also had German origins...
...no, it couldn't be...]
Have you been here long?
no subject
no subject
....right.]
Well, you must be getting used to things around here.
I found it all rather hellish, in the beginning.
no subject
And he just sort of looks at her a minute, really looks at her, and though his expression hasn't changed there's something new behind his eyes.]
You know, they say that hell is other people.
[He smiles, charming.]
Whoever said that clearly never met you.
no subject
So charming, Herr Geheimnisvoll.
[Celes turns to face him properly, now, her Ninetales coming to sit by her feet. An amused smile is flickering around her lips, and she places one perfectly manicured hand against them.
How very interesting indeed.]
I'm glad you didn't disappoint me.
no subject
All right. He'll play the part.]
I don't intend to start, herzchen. What brings you out and about today?
no subject
[Just the way she likes it indeed - Celes is still smiling, in her usual manner, giving no real emotion away. What an interesting twist of fate, to meet up with her fellow German speaking Rocket on a day like this...she's always believed in making her own luck, but this was honestly unexpected.
Who knows where such a thing could lead?
...
...well. At least he's handsome.]
Yourself? Bonding with your little Kätzchen, are you?
no subject
[They'd talked about what she was good at, what her specialty is; he'd played it safe and guessed "winning". It'd been the right answer.
Might as well give her another something to win at, for the duration.]
Though don't get me wrong, it's not like I won't be getting something out of it, too.
no subject
[Very good; he'd responded exactly as she had hoped. It had been a while since she'd gotten to play this particular game, but she wasn't worried.
Men tended to be predictable creatures.]
I suppose I might be able to fit you into my schedule.
Provided you make it worth my while, of course.
no subject
[But he laughs and makes the little kitten wave again, which he figures will serve to mitigate the observation somewhat.]
So, shall we?
no subject
[Oh, she does smile, but it's not the sort of smile you'd expect in reaction to a tiny kitten waving - still very cold.
At least this afternoon has the potential to be entertaining...and if not, she wasn't going to turn down a free drink. Maybe she could convince him to buy her lunch, too...]
Am I going to earn your name at some point?
