1 ♣ [TEXT/ACTION FOR GOLDENROD CITY + ACTION FOR THE ROCKET BASE]
ACTION
[Having grown tired of the sparseness of her room, Celes has taken it upon herself to investigate her new surroundings - in her regular clothes, of course. She's walking slowly, peering around the halls and taking in everything she can, eyes flicking back and forth suspiciously, as if expecting something to pop out at any moment.]
How mysterious....
[Behind her, a Gothita and Vulpix are pattering along, doing their best to keep up with their new trainer, despite the fact that she's ignoring them. The Gothita appears to be doing worse than the Vulpix (having tiny legs will do that to you), but she struggles furiously on, watching her trainer with wide, reverent eyes.
Feel free to interrupt Celes' wanderings if you happen to spot her - she'd be grateful for the information. Maybe.]
TEXT/ACTION
[It's later in the day, and Celes has managed to find her way out of the Rocket Base and into the heart of Goldenrod City. She's currently seated at a table outside a rather quaint cafe, sipping from a cup and idly flicking through the feed on her Pokegear. Seated opposite her, sharing the chair, are her two Pokemon, eagerly watching both their trainer and the small cake sitting in front of her. Celes hasn't touched her food, but is onto her second pot of tea, murmuring to herself.]
...it's perfect....just how I like it.
[Her appetite hasn't really kicked in since she awoke in her room in the Rocket base, so with a slightly repulsed look she roughly cuts the cake into two pieces with her fork and pushes the plate over to her Pokemon. They fall on it in grateful desperation. However-
Do try to have some decorum.
[Celes' words are calm and even, but her Pokemon immediately freeze and start to eat slowly, any traces of their prior frantic feeding completely gone. Her Gothita even attempts to use the fork.
Having dealt with her Pokemon, Celes goes right back to ignoring them and instead focuses on her Pokegear, placing her teacup neatly back in the saucer.
She's spent most of her day gathering what information she can from the citizens around Goldenrod and her fellow Rocket members - now it's time to see if this 'feed' works as well as she's heard.]
I have a few questions that I would appreciate answers to, should any of you be able to help.
1) Are any of you familiar with a place called Hope's Peak Academy?
2) What can you tell me about 'Gothita' and 'Vulpix'?
3) What exactly is Team Rocket's purpose? Should I fear them?
Thank you very much for your time.
- Celestia Ludenberg
[Those aren't her only questions - by far - but at the moment they're the most pressing. If she finds someone helpful she'll pick their brain, anyway.
For now, her tea is waiting.]

It's very convenient, really, that time stops, particularly for that reason; after all, some have been brought here from the middle of important battles and the like - it would be rather unfortunate for their home worlds if time didn't stop for them, wouldn't it?
My name is Solf J Kimblee; I prefer last name over first.
I assume you're a high school student, if Mr. Oowada and Mr. Ishimaru are your classmates; I've been told a little bit about your school, but not much. It's some sort of boarding school for the gifted, correct? Am I to assume you have a particular talent or specialty as well?
[hopefully it's something he's heard of
what the fuck's a hall monitor]
[text]
Shall we continue to play~?]
Kimblee-san, then; a pleasure to meet you. My name is Celestia Ludenberg, as I'm sure you realised, but just Celes is fine. That's what my classmates call me. I am indeed a student of that particular academy.
[If only you could see her, Kimblee-san; she's smiling in the most adorably devilish way!]
My specialty is gambling. I'm rather good at it.
Perhaps we could play a game sometime.

>high school student
between this, the child soldiers, the kidnapped...everybody, the criminal underworld and that one person who got their organs sold to the yakuza or something, what the hell is wrong with the japanese police]
That depends. What sort of game would you be interested in?
[text]
...
that totally makes it better and all]
Anything, really - it's been such a while since I've been able to exercise my talents. We don't even have to play for stakes, if you don't like that sort of thing. It does tend to make it all the more exciting, however.
[Especially when you put your life on the line! Or, you know...the lives of others.
^_^]
Forgive my forwardness - with my lifestyle, I've learned to take opportunities when they arise, and you've been so very helpful to me so far.
I really do appreciate it, Kimblee-san.
[text]
I'll warn you, however, that I like my stakes high.
[text]
If you like them as high as me, then we'll get along fine.
[Hmm, she's getting a bit too...eager, here; better get her desu back.]
Ah, but I've let my passion for my hobby take over - I hope you don't mind, Kimblee-san. I tend to be a bit excitable when asked about my talents.
[text/private]
Under a lock this goes, actually.]
Name your preferred bet.
[text/private]
That depends on what you could offer me, Kimblee-san.
[text/private]
[text/private]
[She can guess....]
[text/private]
[text/private]
[........
what is this feeling...]
Never have I played a game with such stakes....
[T-This....is this...true ecstasy....?!]
[text/private]
So really, I'm not opposed to any stakes you may happen to set, assuming you're truly interested in playing.
[text/private]
I would quite like to meet you in person.
[text/private]
Until then, I have another piece of advice for you, should you want it.
[text/private]
[Like the classy people they are.]
Please - I'd love to hear it.
[text/private]
Only Team Rocket members awaken in Goldenrod.
[text/private] 1/2
[text/private] 2/2
[text/private]
Give my regards to Mr. Oowada and Mr. Ishimaru, when you see them, seeing as we all seem to share a hometown.
[text/private]
I like your style, Kimblee-san.
It appears there are many things I can learn from you.
[text/private]
And as I suspect that you'll be waiting for at least a few days while they come to get you, there's a casino in the middle of town.
[text/private]
You certainly know how to speak to a lady, Kimblee-san.
I feel at home already.
